A Call to Harmony: Announcing the Bruhati Sahasra Maha Yajna

It is with great excitement that we announce a rare and momentous event: the Bruhati Sahasra Maha Yajna, taking place on April 14th, 2024, under the auspices of Texas Gaushala and Gita-in-Action group. This grand fire ritual, possibly the first of its kind on American soil, promises to be a transformative experience, weaving together ancient wisdom, individual well-being, and universal harmony. This event is planned on the day of Sauramaana Ugadi Sankramana which is a auspicious day for such events.

The Symphony of Prana:

At the core of the Bruhati Sahasra MahaYajna lies the concept of Prana, the invisible life force that animates the whole universe and resides within each one of us. The meticulously constructed fire altar, built with 360 bricks, mirrors the spiritual fire in the human heart, surrounded by 360 ligaments. This, in turn, reflects the cosmic fire of the sun, radiating warmth and life for 360 days each year. A year of 360 days is the average of the 355-day lunar year and the 365-day solar year. This number, 360, signifies the completion of a Pranic cycle, a constant, unending flow of energy that sustains all existence.

A Thousandfold Offering:

During the Bruhati Sahasra MahaYajna, a thousand offerings will be made to the sacred fire. These offerings transcend the physical realm, nourishing not just the flames but also the inner fire of Prana within our hearts and the outer fire of the Sun itself. The chanting of a thousand Bruhati hymns, each with 36 letters, resonates with the 36,000 nadis, the energy channels coursing through each side of our bodies, aligning us with the universal flow.

• Brahma $5001 - This includes Priest dakshina sponsorship. This seva is also available for corporate sponsorships and the corporate logos will be displayed on banners in Gaushala.
• Dakshina $2501  - This seva includes Maha Yagna infrastructure resources. This seva is also available for corporate sponsorships and the corporate logos will be displayed on banners in Gaushala.
• Adhvaryu $1001 - This seva includes Prasad sponsorships for the Maha Yagna. 
• Udgatr $501 - This seva includes Groceries sponsorships for the Maha Yagna.
• Hotr $251 - This seva includes Flowers and other decoration items for the Maha Yagna.
• Kalash with shipping: $151 - This seva includes sponsoring one of the kalashas and the brick that will be used for the Maha Yajna. For out of Houston sponsors, Kalasha will be shipped to their mail addresses after the Yagna.
• Kalasha and Brick: $121 - This seva includes sponsoring one of the kalashas and the brick that will be used for the Maha Yajna.
